The Syrah grape is legendary in its ability to adapt to its local environment and produce a wine in that specific location that tastes like no other Syrah in the world! With Héros, the aim was to capture this dynamic spirit and produce a wine that speaks to the incredible diversity of Syrah flavors. Its spicy, dark fruit flavors are delivered by means of a creamy-textured, balanced wine where the mouthfeel is the star - so much heft and intensity manages to feel supple and elegant on the palate

It takes real winemaking acumen to pull off this balancing act of power and grace, and the Héros team taps into 8 generations of winemaking experience in the south of France to attain these rarefied heights. With soft, ripe tannins and a long finish, Héros Syrah transports you to all the corners of the Syrah-growing world, in one satisfying sip.

HÉROS - THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS:

Héros Syrah is grown in Southern France, on rocky peaks of exposed, mountain slopes as well as sun-kissed, sandy plains in view of the Mediterranean. Each location provides something unique and special to Héros, a fascinating hybrid of our two favorite styles of Syrah. Like an Australian Shiraz, Héros is juicy, plump and fruity. Yet also, as if an homage to its Northern Rhone cousins, this delicious Syrah displays a smoky, peppery, meaty side as well.

This is what drew us to the Héros winery – an expression of the best of the two most celebrated expressions of Syrah. Therein, therefore, lies the beauty of Héros - the ability of this celebrated grape variety to do magical things, when produced by capable hands. This wine manages to resist definition yet showcases a unique identity – that of Héros Syrah.
