Brilliant ruby red with a burnt orange rim.
ALC. BY VOL.:
Stylish, polished, silky, juicy.
The Emilia-Romagna region of Italy is at a historic crossroads, where a plethora of outside influences have left their mark on the region's world-famous cuisine. We prize Cielo d’Oro Sangiovese for its ability to celebrate the region's gifts without leaving the comfort of our homes - break out the ham, cheese and olives and you're there!
Cielo d’Oro is produced by our winery partners with whom we’ve been working for many years, a well-respected domaine with more than 60 year's experience in the region. Started by a pair of brothers in the 1950’s, Cielo d’Oro has produced incredible wines over the years, and subsequent generations of the family carry on the quality tradition to the current day.
- THE UNIQUE CHARACTER OF SANGIOVESE:
Terroir: The wines of Emiglia-Romagna have a long, storied history going back to ancient times, where they were a staple of the Roman diet as many as 2000 years ago. Cielo d’Oro Sangiovese is made in the classic tradition – with a long, gentle fermentation in a cold cellar that extracts the grape's singular floral bouquet, red fruit character and brisk, food friendly acidity.
Cielo d’Oro Sangiovese is a perfect expression of the Emiglia-Romagna region – racy like a Ferrari, age-worthy like balsamic and, like Parmigiano Reggiano, a perfect complement to every meal.
