DESCRIPTION:

Ballūn Pinot Grigio reminds us of a traditional Moldovan folk dance - the flavors whirl and spin, intertwined in perfect harmony, passed arm to arm from front of the palate to back. From sip to sip, it never loses its balance, elegance and grace, engaged in a rotating, twisting mélange of fruit and savory mineral flavors.

After meeting the producers of Ballūn at an international wine fair, our curiosity was peaked, and preconceptions dashed by the quality of the wine presented. We are thrilled to offer this, the first vintage of Ballūn Pinot Grigio, so that you can experience the Moldovan wine story for yourself and expand your horizons of how to define a classic wine region.

BALLŪN -
YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD TERROIR DOWN:

Moldova may not be the first place that comes to mind for fine wine- but it truly deserves a chance. One of the oldest winegrowing regions in the world, and it's only getting better with age. Wineries are fully modernized and employ forward thinking winemakers who strive to please the international market with bright and modern styled wines.

Vineyards have been replanted with the best clones of the most desired grape varieties and winemakers are hungry to please exporters with electric, delicious wines, offered at "try me now" price points. We are convinced in the Moldova's potential - a humble, isolated country blessed with the ability to produce wines that compete extremely favorably on the world's stage!
